Event narrative

Numerous roads were closed due to flash flooding. Sixteen homes were damaged by the flash flood. At least one person was rescued in the Burnt Church community because of the flash flooding.

Wider weather episode

A persistent upper level low remained near the region from September 22 through September 26. Several rounds of thunderstorms develop over the area producing flash flooding over parts of southwest Tennessee.
