A waterspout was observed about 12 miles northwest of Key West by Key West International Airport control tower personnel.

Scattered cumulus congestus and cumulonimbus clouds along a decaying outflow boundary eminating from Cuba during the evening of September 11 through 12, 2009, moved north through the Lower Florida Keys. Several waterspouts were observed.
