Event narrative

Public weather spotter reported a waterspout about 5 miles south of the Fort Morgan Peninsula west of Gulf Shores, about 8 miles south of Bon Secour Bay. Radar indicated the shower producing the waterspout was moving northeast at 15 knots.

Wider weather episode

Several waterspouts were reported around the Mobile Bay area and just off the western Florida Panhandle. These mostly occurred within a few miles of the coastline and over near shore bays.
