Lake D'Arbonne in Farmerville, Louisiana, began rising on October 12th and crested at a stage of 85.6 feet on October 16th. The lake then fell below the 83 foot flood stage on October 21st. Severe flooding developed on the lake which flooded nearly 250 low area homes and dwellings. Secondary access roads around the lake were flooded as well. Union Parish was declared a Federal Disaster Area because of the extensive flooding and storm damage that occurred during the month of October.
