A strong cold front moved through the Coastal Bend around noon on October 26th, 2009, producing strong to severe wind gusts, thunderstorms. Most notable was a severe thunderstorm which produced a downburst over NAS Corpus Christi, Flour Bluff, Padre Island and Mustang Island and combined with the gradient wind behind the front to produce wind gusts of 75-80 mph.
