Event narrative
Cameron Parish Sheriff Office and local media reported a paramedic was killed 3 miles west-northwest of Creole at the South Cameron Memorial Hospital when a trailer was blown off its blocks and pinned him against a vehicle. The emergency room canopy at the hospital was also damaged and numerous tree limbs were broken off trees in the area. Radar velocity data from KLCH indicated winds up to 70 mph.

A line of showers along a cold front moved rapidly eastward across southern Louisiana during the afternoon hours, producing numerous reports of damaging winds. 1 person was killed near Creole, Louisiana when strong winds blew a mobile trailer on top of him.
