Event narrative

Moderate to major flooding along the Withlacoochee River north of Valdosta closed Franklinville Road and Little River Road, as well as several bridges. At least 100 homes were flooded.

Wider weather episode

Repeated heavy rainfall caused areal and riverine flooding in portions of Dougherty, Baker, Decatur and Lowndes counties.
