Encinitas Lifeguards reported a waterspout off the coast of Moonlight Beach around 1642 PST and said that it had formed within the past 5 minutes. No damage or injuries were reported.

A cold low pressure system moved through the region on the 28th and 29th, bringing widespread rain, mountain snow, and isolated thunderstorms. A thunderstorm formed along a boundary moving South along the San Diego county coast. The cell spawned a waterspout off the Encinitas coast around 1633 PST on the 28th. No damage was reported.
