Law enforcement personnel reported several trees downed by non-thunderstorm winds countywide with the most damage across the east half of the county.

Wider weather episode

A strong low pressure tracked across east Tennessee bringing damaging non-thunderstorm winds to the area late in the day on the 8th and continued into the overnight hours on the 9th. The strongest winds occurred over the higher elevations. Flash flooding was also reported in the overnight hours.
