Two to four inches of snow fell during the day, causing numerous traffic accidents, including a two vehicle accident resulting in one fatality and three injuries. The property damage noted relates only to the injury accident.

A complex winter storm developed over the central High Plains early on the 23rd, producing an area of moderate to heavy snow generally southeast of a line from Russell Springs in Logan County to Norcatur in Decatur County. County snow totals included 7-8 inches in Logan County, 6-8 inches in Gove County, 5-7 inches in Sheridan County, six inches in Graham County, 5-7 inches in Decatur county and near 8 inches in Norton County.
