Event narrative

Light freezing drizzle and fog produced slick roads and numerous slide offs on Interstate 70. One accident resulted in a fatality when the driver lost control of the vehicle and was ejected as it rolled over. Property damage listed is only from the fatality accident.

Wider weather episode

Fog and light freezing drizzle produced a thin layer of ice on area roads, including Interstate 70. Accidents were reported in both Sherman and Thomas counties resulting in three fatalities and three injuries. Dozens of other non-injury accidents were reported.
