Several PVC tent poles were snapped.
Wider weather episode
A strong upper level trough moved over the southern Rocky Mountains and southern U.S. Plains. Very strong mid level winds at the base of this upper trough mixed down to the surface and resulted in strong winds across the mountains and plains of southeast New Mexico and west Texas.
