The wider storm

A light mix of sleet and snow developed over the mountains and foothills of the South Carolina during the evening, and continued for much of the overnight. Accumulations ranged from trace amounts over the lower elevations of the foothills, to localized 2-3 inch amounts over the mountains. A few slick spots developed on mountain roads, resulting in quite a few accidents.
