Spotter reported 2.5 inches of snowfall in Ocracoke.

Wider weather episode

Strong low pressure moved northeast well offshore of the coast early February 13th. Widespread snow developed over the region during the evening of February 12th and continued into the morning of February 13th. Most of eastern North Carolina received between 4 and 7 inches of snowfall from this system.
