What EF1 means. On the Enhanced Fujita scale, EF1 is moderate damage: roofs badly stripped, mobile homes pushed off foundations or overturned, windows broken, consistent with estimated gusts of 86–110 mph. The rating comes from a survey of the worst damage after the storm, not from a wind measurement, so it says as much about what the tornado hit as about how strong it was.

What the National Weather Service wrote

One garage was destroyed and another was shifted off its foundation. A couple of sheds were destroyed and a carport was blown away. Trees were blown down.

The wider storm

A low pressure system passed by just to the north of Arkansas on the 10th, with a trailing cold front pushing south across the state. This cold front met up with sufficient Gulf moisture and instability to trigger thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening. Many of the storms dropped hail and a few produced tornadoes.

Began near Sunnydale (35.4438, -91.7018).
