Low temperatures dropped to near 32 degrees over far western portions of Broward County over the Everglades.

Wider weather episode

A strong arctic cold front moved through south Florida late on January 1. This ushered in a period of much below normal temperatures which lasted through January 7th. This was the first of two periods of much below normal temperatures which impacted south Florida during January 2010.
