Snow amounts of up to 8 inches fell above 5000 feet, with more than a foot of new snow estimated on the higher peaks. Winds gusted to greater than 30 mph.

Wider weather episode

A winter storm brought moderate to locally heavy snow to the higher mountains of interior Northern California. There were 6 to 10 inches of snow above 5000 feet, with about a foot of new snow above 8000 feet.
