Event narrative

About 1900 people lost power around Anacortes. Several trees fell, one into a power line and another blocking SR 534.

Wider weather episode

Strong southerlies occurred on the night of May 2, but not high wind. Westerlies began on the morning of May 3 and reached high wind criteria on Whidbey Island. Pockets of strong wind occurred from Lewis to Skagit Counties. About 15000 customers in all lost power.
