Law enforcement reported U.S. Highway 191 flooded near Wards Canyon and Clifton.

A moist and unstable atmosphere resulted in scattered thunderstorms developing across southeast Arizona, beginning relatively early during the midday hours. With the large amounts of moisture available, the primary threats from thunderstorms were heavy rain and flash flooding.
