A waterspout was observed about 5 miles south-southeast of Cudjoe Key. The funnel cloud extended about halfway to three-quarters down to the water surface.

Wider weather episode

A cumulus cloud line over the Florida Straits produced a brief waterspout south of the Lower Florida Keys.
