Thunderstorm wind gusts estimated at 40 to 50 mph caused a boat carrying 3 people to capsize during a fishing tournament at Wagon Train Lake near Hickman. One man drowned.

A warm front lifted into southeast Nebraska during evening of June 19th. This helped kick off isolated severe thunderstorms that brought damaging winds to extreme southeast Nebraska during the late evening hours.
