The ASOS at the Charlotte County Airport measured a wind gust of 36 knots.
The wider storm
High pressure ridging across the area allowed for afternoon sea breeze circulations to develop each day. The warm and moist atmosphere caused scattered thunderstorms containing strong gusty winds to form along the sea breeze and outflow boundaries.
