Event narrative

Adams County Emergency Manager reported the roof was blown off of a church in Council including roof damage to other homes in the area. Also, many large trees were down along a path into the northeast part of the county.

Wider weather episode

A southerly flow of moisture into the Intermountain West along with daytime temperatures near 100 degrees for many locations provided the needed energy for strong to severe thunderstorm development across parts of Southwest Idaho.
