A 58 year old male was found in his house deceased. It was determined that he died from the heat.

A large ridge of high pressure both at the surface and aloft allowed for excessively hot temperatures across northwest Louisiana through much of August. Daily afternoon temperatures often climbed above 100 degrees with heat index values climbing between 105 to 110 degrees in the afternoon.
