Wider weather episode

An upper level ridge was present over the Southeast. A weak lee-side trough developed over the Midlands during the afternoon and spawned showers and thunderstorms along residual convective outflows from the previous day's thunderstorm activity. Thunderstorms then shifted over portions of southeast Georgia during the early evening hours. An inland moving sea breeze prolonged shower and thunderstorms through the early overnight hours.
