A ridge of high pressure aloft along with a southwest flow around surface high pressure resulted in hot and humid conditions during the Fourth of July through the 8th. Max temperatures were in the 90s and 100s across most locations. The hottest days were on the 6th and 7th of July where most locations soared past 100 degrees.
