Event narrative
Kewa Pueblo, formerly known as Santa Domingo Pueblo, received golf ball sized hail which accumulated six to eight inches deep. This caused several roofs on the Pueblo to cave in and weaken some walls. The combination of heavy rain and accumulated hail resulted in some roads being washed out.
Wider weather episode
A lone severe thunderstorm developed near San Felipe Pueblo and moved east-southeast along the east mountains. Hail up to 2 inches in diameter fell and devastated trees, roofs, windshields and windows across the area.
