A wind gust of 40 knots (46 mph) from the south was measured by a Citizen Weather Observer Program automated station at the Florida Keys Aqueduct Pump Station on Ramrod Key.

A line of strong thunderstorms moved north from the Atlantic waters, crossing the Middle and Lower Florida Keys. Wind gusts to gale force occurred across a greater-than 40 mile stretch of the Florida Keys.
