A wind gust of 35 knots (40 mph) was measured at a Citizens Weather Observer Program automated station at the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority Pump Station on Long Key.

Wider weather episode

A trough of low pressure over the eastern Gulf of Mexico produced numerous thunderstorms north of the Florida Keys. Outflow boundaries moved southeast across portions of the island chain.
