Wider weather episode

Afternoon thunderstorms produced widespread strong winds across northern Utah. These winds caused damage near Salt Lake City, as well as along the Legacy Highway in Farmington and Kaysville. The associated cold front that moved through Utah behind these storms also caused strong post-frontal winds, particularly in the west desert and in the southern Wasatch Front.
