A waterspout was observed about 5 miles north northwest of Cudjoe Key. The visible funnel extended three quarters of the way down to the water surface.

Wider weather episode

A cumulus cloud line over the Lower Florida Keys drifted north into the nearshore Gulf of Mexico waters, producing a waterspout.
