The spotter in Fairfield reported 6 to 8 inches of new snow with drifts up to 4 feet. Roads and schools were closed.

Wider weather episode

A deep low pressure system barreling out of Canada brought blizzard conditions to parts of Southwest Idaho with over a foot of snow and drifts to 6 feet in some areas.
