Event narrative

Ice jams which plugged culverts combined with rainfall and melting snow caused flooding. This prompted the closure of Conant Basin Road near Post and also Juniper Canyon Road.

Wider weather episode

A large Pacific weather system became established in mid January that produced copious amounts of rainfall with unseasonably warm conditions in parts of Oregon.
