Event narrative

No marine reports were received, but a trained spotter 2N Coos Bay reported a gust to 71 mph at 13/1315 PDT when the squall line moved onshore. The Cape Arago sensor recorded a gust to 86 mph at 13/1300 PST, which was far above any other gust recorded that day. The sensor at Cape Blanco recorded a gust to 81 KT at 13/1240 PDT. Therefore, it is assumed that gale gusts occurred offshore with the squall line.
