Hidden Fall hatchery measured a storm total of 6.8 inches new snow for this event with 32 inches on the ground. Angoon AWOS had visibility down to 1 SM during the storm.

Wider weather episode

The arctic front remained stationary over the north central panhandle on the night of 1/17 into the morning of 1/18. Moderate to strong outflow persisted in gaps during this time for cold air with some over-running aloft of warmer air and moisture for snow and wind.
