Several spotters reported snowfall meeting warning criteria. Chain restrictions were required on some of the main roads and numerous hazards were reported on some of these roads. A few power outages were also reported across the area.

Wider weather episode

A cold winter storm dropped significant snowfall amounts over Northwest California. This resulted in chain restrictions on the higher elevation roads.
