Strong and gusty northwest winds developed across the Santa Clarita Valley. The RAWS sensor at Saugus reported wind gusts between 58 and 71 MPH.
Wider weather episode
Strong northwest to north winds developed across sections of Southwestern California. The strongest winds occurred in the mountains of Los Angeles and Ventura counties, the Antelope Valley and the Santa Clarita Valley. Sustained winds as high as 59 MPH were reported along with gusts as high as 76 MPH.
