Event narrative

The Mary Field Plantation wildfire was in Waverly, and on the 25th it had burned about 2,500 acres. The fire was mostly in marsh or old rice fields. At the time, it was about 20 percent contained. Three homes were threatened.

On the 27th, the fire was still about 2,500 acres large and only 20 percent contained.

Early on the 29th, the fire was southwest of Kingsland and still had burned about 2,500 acres. The fire was 85 percent contained and continued in mainly marsh areas.
