Buoy 41012 43 NM East of St. Augustine measured a 40 mph thunderstorm wind gust.

An upper level low was over the Ohio Valley with a trailing trough across the Southeast Region. A surface cold front moved across the forecast area during hte later morning into the late afternoon over an unstable air mass. Several strong to severe storms formed across the forecast area.
