Event narrative

Sheriff reported trees and powerlines down around the Augusta area. About 24 soldiers at Ft. Gordon were injured from debris crashing into their tents and were taken to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center for treatment.

Wider weather episode

A strong line of severe thunderstorms moved through the CSRA and produced a lot of wind damage, mainly trees being uprooted or snapped off and powerlines being taken down.
