Event narrative

Two waterspouts were observed approximately 1 to 2 miles offshore southeast of the Snake Creek Bridge. One waterspout quickly dissipated whereas the other, larger waterspout was observed for 28 minutes.

Wider weather episode

Narrow cumulus cloud lines developed from near Sugarloaf Key through Tavernier, Florida. A few waterspouts developed within the cloud lines in both Florida Bay and the nearshore Atlantic waters.
