Event narrative
A waterspout was observed about 7 miles north of the Seven Mile Bridge. The visible funnel cloud extended to the surface of the water with a spray ring.
Wider weather episode
A convective squall line in advance of a pre-frontral trough produce numerous gale-force wind gusts throughout the Florida Keys. Prior to the passage of the squall line, cumulus cloud lines developed in advance in the unstable airmass over the Florida Keys. A non-supercell waterspout was observed.
