A wind gust of 34 knots was measured at a Weatherflow automated station at the USCG Sector Key West.
Wider weather episode
A convective squall line in advance of a pre-frontral trough produce numerous gale-force wind gusts throughout the Florida Keys. Prior to the passage of the squall line, cumulus cloud lines developed in advance in the unstable airmass over the Florida Keys. A non-supercell waterspout was observed.
