Event narrative

A trained spotter and boat captain reported a waterspout near the Boca Grande Pass.

Wider weather episode

A squall line formed well ahead of a cold front and produced strong marine thunderstorm winds across the coastal waters on the afternoon of the 14th. A secondary line then developed in the early morning hours of the 15th, just ahead of the front, and again produced strong marine winds as well as a waterspout.
