Event narrative

A very short-lived waterspout was observed by Key West International Airport air traffic control personnel about 11 mile east-southeast of Key West. Only a condensation funnel cloud was observed.

Wider weather episode

A persistent cumulus cloud line developed from near Marathon west through Key West, producing isolated showers and one brief waterspout along the Atlantic side of the island chain.
