Event narrative

Four waterspouts were observed along an east-west line one to two miles south southeast of Duck Key. One waterspout had a distinct visible spray ring.

Wider weather episode

A deep upper-level trough of low pressure produced several southwest-to-northeast oriented cumulus cloud lines through the evening of May 15th. Several waterspouts were observed in Florida Bay as well as along the nearshore Atlantic waters along the Middle Florida Keys.
