An upper level low situated itself over western Oregon. A moist disturbance rotating around the low into southeastern Washington resulted in widespread precipitation across the area. Cooling temperatures during the early morning hours dropped snow levels down to around 3,500 feet with heavy snow reported through the morning. This band of precipitation moved slowly to the north and east through the day with snowfall reported above 5,000 feet as it moved into the Okanogan Highlands.
