A 57 year old woman was found unresponsive outside a Bossier City nursing home and it was determined that she died from the heat. It was determined that she had been left outside for approximately one hour on the afternoon of Tuesday, July 12th. The temperature that afternoon in Bossier City was 100 degrees with a maximum heat index temperature of 106 degrees.

Wider weather episode

Another day of triple digit temperatures with heat index values during the afternoon in excess of 105 degrees resulted in a heat related death in Bossier Parish.
