High water closed Highway 190 near Clear Creek. A minivan was washed off FM 3046 about one-half mile south of Highway 116. The occupants exited the vehicle but drowned.
Wider weather episode
A cold front stalled across north Texas...providing focus for afternoon thunderstorms. There were several reports of hail and flash flooding.
