Event narrative
Approximately 600 acres of a mature grain crop near Auburn were severely damaged by one inch diameter hail.
Wider weather episode
Severe thunderstorms over eastern Idaho moved across central and southern sections of the Star Valley. Large hail was observed in and near the communities of Afton, Bedford, Grover, and Auburn. Homes, vehicles, and crops were damaged as the storms rolled east across the valley.
